Ukrainian School of San Diego was established and supported by House of Ukraine in Balboa Park. We have a great connection with House of Ukraine and work closely with them. This school is organized to promote and preserve the history, culture, language and music of Ukraine for Ukrainian community in San Diego region.
Our mission is to teach and guide new generation of Ukrainians, offering connection to Ukrainian immigrants’ heritage through classes and special events. We invite and encourage all children ages 2-16 who understand and speak Ukrainian,
as well as those who are interested in expanding their knowledge of the Ukrainian language, culture, history and other subjects, to enroll in our school.
Currently we offer classes, ranging from pre-K to Grade 4, are held in Ukrainian or Ukrainian/English, and enable children to grow, learn, and play in a Ukrainian environment. Apart of regular classes, Ukrainian School of San Diego with the active involvement of the parents presents several performances throughout the year: St Nicholas Day, Christmas, concert dedicated to Taras Shevchenko, Easter etc.
Ukrainian School of San Diego is the Ukrainian Saturday School for school-age children, from preschool and up. It was established under the umbrella of Ridna Shkola (the Educational Council of UCCA) that has more than 50 years educational experience. Our mission is to teach and guide new generation of Ukrainians, offering connection to Ukrainian immigrants’ heritage through classes and special events.
